I just checked the rochester ny one. they got nothing there, though they had 2 or 3 headsets on the clearance table for $15.
 
I know this isn't support central <g>... but if anyone has trouble getting the base to be recognized when you hook it up to your USB and then you get it working, give me an email shout...

Mine's not being recognized, but I think it may be due to a bad set of USB ports on my Motherboard...

In the meantime going to go try hooking it up on another computer.

Well, got mine...but two things are REALLY bothering me:

1) (minor thing)...Woman wouldn't take coupon code ($15 off $50)...she insisted that I had to have the postcard with me, even though it says right on it that you can bring in the card OR simply mention the code.

2) I think the battery for the phone unit was bad, as the phone keeps starting to turn on but then shutting off whenever I try to turn it on...wtf?
 
ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! I just called office depot here is Austin, Texas. Well, the nice lady says there are two in stock, so she goes to find them. Well, she comes back, and she said that just as she was walking up to them, someone grabbed them, and bought them!!!!! damnit. Of course, she might have just wanted them for herself...... She then called another store that showed to have one in stock, and they couldn't find it there either. I think the employee's just swipe them for themselfs......
 
The woman I spoke with gave me attitude. It was early and sounded like her hubby wouldn't give her any nookie last night. Ugh, I hate CSRs that do not abide by the rules of &quot;Customer is Always Right&quot;. 😀
 
Are those of you that ARE finding them in stock, are you calling the 888#, or just going to the stores? I have checked DC, VA, and MD, and they all say that dont have any in stock.

Guess you win some and you lose a lot 🙂
 
Seems that there all gone here in CA too. If someone has an extra one I'd be willing to compensate them for it. Email me.

 
Just got the last one in memphis. Picked up the base station for 29 and an extra handset for 19. Was supposed to be a floor model but its brand new, w00t
 
lmao...went to the od thats bout 5 minutes away....the bastards sold me the headsets only. the base was all gone!! my dumb a$$ didnt check and make sure...lmao
 
seeing as how these things are going for $120+ on e---bay, I wouldn't count on someone here selling y ou one for &quot;cost&quot; or $50.

(What is e---bay a forbidden word? That's completely ridiculous.)



 
Dallas/Fort Worth area:

I called this morning to a couple of OD's around and found Forest Ln/Josey Ln has 5 units and I told them to hold 3 for me, but when I got the store by lunch time, the manager told me they sold them before I called, which I don't really believe it was the case. Went back to 635/MacAuther Store picked up their last one (display unit held for me), and to my surprise it was not like a display unit at all.
 
Whew!! Took ALOT of leg-work and numerous phone calls to I don't know how many different people, but I seemed to have cleaned out the last ones from MN, WI, and IA early this morning. Many stores at the last minute (even while mine were on hold) are claiming they are destroying them since the manufacturer is in Chapter 11 and the store can get $289 from the bankruptcy court if they claim they are destroyed units. There supossedly is a recent memo from corporate to this effect, so you have to act very fast. Lost many units because of this tactic. Don't even mess around with the front line girls who answer the phone at the stores - you must deal directly with store managers and if they aren't helpful in agreeing to sell you their units they have in inventory you have to get corporate involved to help push them along. Was close to getting many more, but was able to secure only 11 units - hope the work is worth it... I'll leave the rest in other states for you guys to find - they are still out there but won't be at the end of the day.
 
I just heard of a funny story when I was calling OD's around, a guy in Dallas Area swapped all the handsets in every store but is still trying to find complete set that has a base unit included.

Good luck, and if you can't find one, please let me know if i can buy a couple of handsets from you, you can't just use the handsets alone, can you.
 
Raistlix, if you knew about this deal earlier, why didnt you post?! GRRRRRRR. =P Not that it matters, San Diego never has any OD deals.. hehe. Picked up a Gravis Gamepad Pro for $6.88 though... Not bad.

when you said Headset... did you mean handset?
If so, let me know what you need out of the handset. (Could use an extra one)

BTW, got mine working... just had a bad USB port in my main PC. Hooked it up to my wifes comp and everything works fine.

I checked every store in San Antonio (6 of them!) and not one had it. So, if anyone out there wants to be nice and pick one up for me I would be glad to pay for shipping and a little extra for your trouble. =) Just shoot me an email at djlenoir@yahoo.com if you have an extra or find some out there in a store near you. As of 2 hours ago, there were 4 base units in Reno at the Harvard Way Store (near Costco). I got 2 base units, 2 handsets at another Reno Office Depot this AM, that wiped them out, but they confirmed the 4 units at the Harvard Way store. Phone number for that store is:
