i like my steinel heat gun vaporizer the best. i would say 2nd best is verdamper which is almost better than a steinel heat gun/volcano valve setup.

ok, i don't want to argue, but i think funboy is either mistaken or misleading.

this product seems to be releasing vaporised nicotine.
Nicotine is the carcinogen responsible for the lung cancer, and the addictive agent.
using this product may be cheaper/easier than smoking cigarrettes, but that does not mean it is much better for you. in any place that you can't smoke a cigarrette you could smoke this instead. getting around the ban.
the only thing better for you about this product is that there is no smoke going into your lungs. but the nicotine is much worse anyway.

furthermore: funboy when you say that you just puff on this instead of light a cigarrette and you feel no need to smoke anymore, that should tell you something, "THEY ARE FULL OF NICOTINE"

so don't buy this if you want to quit/want a healthier way. just buy this if you want a different way to inhale your nicotine

I don't think nicotine is responsible for causing lung cancer, the tar that you inhale from a cig gives you lung cancer. Nicotine is basically just a drug that you can take orally (like nicotine gum) or apply to your skin as a patch. Eitherway, the drug gets delivered to your blood stream and that is how it satisfies your cravings.

You don't get gum/mouth cancer by chewing nicotine gum, and you don't get skin cancer by using a nicotine patch. Nicotine does and can cause heart disease.

Just wanted to point that out, its been more than 10 years since my health class, so do let me know if my info is no longer valid.

You are mistaken.

From Wikipedia:

"The carcinogenic properties of nicotine in standalone form, separate from tobacco smoke, have not been evaluated by the IARC, and it has not been assigned to an official carcinogen group. The currently available literature indicates that nicotine, on its own, does not promote the development of cancer in healthy tissue and has no mutagenic properties."

These e-cigs may, for all we know, cause cancer. But if they do, it won't be because of the nicotine.

Amputater is absolutely correct! And as for Funboy, he is like a fisherman fishing for the truth. However, instead of waiting for the fish to bite he started telling stories about the biggest fish he ever saw that got away!

Im not going to argue about this, but you need to google a little bit more because it is a misconception that people think that nicotine is the cause of cancer, when it is far from it, which I think i linked to somewhere in here already.

And have you had any idea about me, you would understand why I may take some of my posts i little more to heart then others for posting on at is about all I can do anymore in my life. Its not me fishing, its not me getting paid under the table, it because the littlest of things, like stupid $4 joe cool watches, which was broken yesterday in my car accident I had, gives me the slightes t of fucking joy in my life as I sit here all alone as my wife is forced to work then staying home to take care of me for there are times I cant get up to take a piss till Im about to piss my pants, and force myself to go through the pain to take said piss. im sorry that my posts piss some of you off, Im sorry some of you have wasted some of you life searing on me, making phone calls I bet to some of the places I post about, trying to discredit the reason I waste my life at this stupid site to bring what little joy I get from these STUPID ASS TRINKETS, because it keeps my mind off the pain Im in, the the urge to pop all of the 12+ prescriptions I have at my desk that I hold back swolowing them all ever fucking day of my life for the last fucking 6 years.

If you dont like me, my posts, what I post, or how I write it or what ever I FUCKING DONT CARE< FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Rahvin posted a nice reply but I (as a UCBerkeley biochemistry major & working in the medical field) want to emphasize that nicotine(which as others stated does NOT cause cancer at all) that the nicotine is in a solution of glycerin/glycerol --it's a SUGAR ALCOHOL (both of them are safe & common food additives, and even sold in health food stores as sports supplements & sugar substitutes (it's sweet & doesn't raise blood sugar levels as much as sugar(about half the insulin rise as a regular carbohydrate) --it's found in many diabetic & low-fat/low-sugar foods.. it's classified as a carbohydrate/sugar alcohol)

I will forward the links to my smoker friends, THANKS Funboy!

BTW, nicotine is a stimulant in the same class as caffeine.. it does NOT cause heart disease but nicotine can worsen it since it causes your blood vessels to constrict/increases blood pressure (like any other stimulant from caffieine to beta1 agonist asthma medication lilke albuterol)

U will see glycerin/glycerol in lots of food, toothpaste, hair care, etc because it's safe to eat, safe to touch if it gets in your eyes/mouth (why it's added to shampoo just like water to thicken it since studies showed that consumers think thicker shampoos clean better so they looked for a safe thickening agent..voila, they found glycerin/glycerol), --iit's common thickening agent as well as sweetener too since it keeps foods moist/sweet

Like salt & other solutions/food ingredients, it raises/lowers the freezing/boiling point of water, which is why it's added to antifreeze (becuase using sugar or salt insttead is bad for engines/metal)

Well my buddy is a long time smoker. He got something like this because he works at a smoke free building. He used to go to his car at lunch to smoke, now its a smoke free parking lot.
Well they threatened to fire him using this. IT LOOKS like a cigarette and it gives the "illusion" that we are saying smoking is ok.

Anyway he has only had it a week and said that it seems to curb cravings but it does not have the feel of cigarette smoke. (not sure what that means)
