Smelly armpit problem

From about 16 to 20 I would sweat CONSTANTLY from my pits... even in 68 degree air conditioned classrooms or standing outside in the cold.

My doctor recommended Drysol and so I ordered some from Canadian pharmacy online. At first I put it on while I slept for 3 nights in a row. Then for a while I just put it on once per week. Now I put it on about once every two weeks or so and I do not sweat at all from my pits. I also keep them trimmed just to look nice.

I had the very same problem as the Op in my youth. Nothing I did or tried would solve it. I did finally discover the cause, and had to make a decision. Avoid people in the hot summer days, or quit *DRINKING*, and chasing women every night.

I'd rather sweat than make those types of lifestyle changes! =P

Are you just using a deodorant or is it also an antiperspirant?
If it's just a deodorant, you're basically spreading waxy cologne on your armpit. An antiperspirant will stop sweating and kill bacteria. Maybe that's the problem?

Buy anti-perspirant / deoderant. It is not enough to just shower, you got to stop the wetness which promotes bacterial growth, and kill what bacteria is already there.

definetly shave it off.
hair is a odor trap esp there.
if you are hairy sob initial trim/shave will take longer. but after that its just a shave swipe every day or two in the shower. it might be itchy first day, it should go away. bonus is less deoderant is required on a shaved underarm as well. spraying or trying to swipe a deoderant stick over hair is ick.
