SMC7008ABR router

I just got this router today, and went to their site for the latest firmware. I thought that they had 2 versions there for download(1.02 and 1.41.008), so I got the 1.41.008(simply thinking that bigger number=newer). Then I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why I couldn't install the new firmware. turns out there are 2 different versions of the SMC7008ABR. The 1.41 version firmware goes to the part number 750.8076, and the 1.02 firmware is for the router with part number 750.9814. So I got the firmware for that one and all is well now.

The thing I was wondering is if anyone konw what the difference is between the SMC7008ABR-750.8076 and the SMC7008ABR-750.9814. I'm pretty sure the 9814 is the newer version, since it has a newer date on the firmware.
 
The 8 ports Routers are not as popular since they usually cost more than a combo of 4 ports Router and a simple switch,

The 750.9818 seems to be the current production model.

yeah, I konw not many people get the 8 port router, the only reason I even got it, is because I heard a lot of good things about.
