I went yesterday and today.
A guard told me that people started forming a line at 4:30 am. I got there about 8:30 and was already about 100 to 150 people in line.(opened at 9 today and 10 on sunday)
Pure Pandemonium when the doors opened!

I was able to snag one of the Wireless Smc. Their grand opening ad said $69 after $10 instant rebate and $50 manufacturer's rebate. Great Deal for $49 out the door and $0 after rebate.

However, I might have been distracted by the hundreds of people crammed in there.

Decided to just leave and try that "saving money" thing, especially considering I already have all this stuff!!

I went to the Duluth store this morning and I guess the 200 people before me didn't want a free-after-rebate 2.4GHz wireless router? I grabbed one, and plenty of them were still there when I left.

Grabbed a rebate form on my way out. I can't complain.

(The $50 rebate wasn't advertised in their flyer; that probably explains why people weren't in a hurry getting them. IMHO, this is a lot hotter than the $20 48x CD-RW, all of which promptly disappeared within seconds...)

Also, there were two different kinds of SMC 2.4GHz wireless routers in the store: the $139 SMC2404WBR and the $49.99 SMC7004VWBR, both of which have $50 rebates available. This may have further confused people.

I don't know what you guys are talking about...but the $50 rebate is for a SMC2404 version...however the ones that were $50 out of store were SMC7004. Was there another wireless router somewhere that I was missing???? I looked everywhere and didn't find it.

Were you at the store off Powers Ferry? For some reason I didn't see the rebate for the 7004VWBR in store? I did find it online guys!

I went to the Powers Ferry store (near where I work) Friday to get the 256MB CF card that I wanted badly (a Canon S230 on the way), and went to the Duluth store (near where I live) Sunday after learning there was a $50 rebate on the $50 router.
