SMC Barricade Router question on the dial on demand

I have my Zoom ext modem hooked into my COM port of the SMC 8 port router, and last night when i got eveything setup, i have dial on demand as my only internet connection.

i set it up last night, worked great (all the PC's could surf the net), i clicked my IE and i could her the router dialing my modem, connected, worked great. but when i went to bed, i disconnected. and this morning i went to open IE6 and it would not dial my modem unless I logged into the router with IE, and connected it manually. Which I should not have to do it that way, like last night. Its set to dial automatically hence the dial on demand.......

so why wont it work now unless go into the router and do it this time.....?

 
Odd. I'm assuming you've flashed the latest firmware, etc. Did you turn the router off perhaps without saving the settings? You might want to check here for some settings info.
 
yep, latest firmware, it worked the 1st time like i said, then this mornign i had to manually connect. i saved the config in my modem and i keep the router on and modem on all the time.....

ill check that, but i already read through it
