I have this router and you just can't beat it! I can establish VPN access in the DMZ, and configure specialized servers such as Unreal Tournament through IP ports. Super easy to setup. I feel sorry to had purchased network printers and spent more for the NIC than this router, since it also has a print server!

muffstah, I have it and you have to open up ports 113 and 6667 for an identd.

Works fine for me now on Efnet.

I use Kali to play Quake 2 online, but everytime I actually get into a game my ping spikes to 1000ms. Sometimes, if I'm lucky it will drop back down to a playable ping. I'm on Pacbell DSL, running on the router with the lastest 1.89E Firmware. Is there a specific port I need to open up? Do I need to install the IPX Protocol and bind it to my NIC?

HKSturboKID, I hear you, had the same problem.
I am sure that the next generation of cable or DSL modems will have a firewall and switch included.
That would be only logical.
