I have TW RR and for some reason this afternoon my service was out. I called the tech support to see if there were any outages in my area. They told me that technichians were doing a "sweep" but service would be restored in a few hours. Well I got home about 6hrs later and still no service. I called tech support again and this time I reconnected my cable modem directly to one of the computers. After going through the steps with the tech of powering down the modem and re-powering and "repairing" in the network settings of WinXp everything was fine...until I reconnected to the router. I again could not reconnect to the net. So I went to my other machine a Win98 machine and no connection there either. So I tried to put in the address of the router in IE to check the settings of the router and nothing comes up. Would this indicate that the router has gone bad?
EDIT Fixed it
I reconnected the router to the modem and powered down the cable modem, waited a few minutes repowered it up and bingo! that did the trick.
