I don't know if most people need this many ports but...

I just bought this switch SMC-EZ6516TX.

SMC has a current promotion of $20 rebate from Amazon Only Amzn Link for $82.99.

Also applied $5 off coupon but only received $1.48?? Don't know why.

Total is approx. $61 or about $3.80/node. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Let me know if there are better ways to structure the deal! 😉

Edit: It looks as thought they accepted the $5 off coupon and if my guess is correct, SMC will honor the rebate from Amazon leading to a $57.99 total. And thanks to JakiDian a $30 SMC 8Port.

Thanks for the heads up.

I just received the confirmation of the order and lo-and-behold they did apply the $5 coupon after all.

As to the rebate... It seems that SMC does not have the correct distributors on their site coupon. For example, if you click on Buy.com's rebate for the same switch it come up with the same conditions as Amazon's coupon. However, if you look at the Buy.com's site they have the correct link. It seems that I looked at SMC's site as they were updating it and have not finished yet.

I have a call into their CS center, but I have not gotten through yet. However, it is odd that Amazon does not have a link to the rebate. I have made a copy of SMC's page and will fight for the rebate.

So, at is stands currently: the Switch shipped at $77.99 and if the rebate stands, the switch will cost me $57.99

ANyway, while on hold, I looked back at Amazon and lo-and-behold the correct rebate Link

So, it appears that the Amazon rebates WILL work.
