1) It's music, it's not like it wears out. Bach is still good, too.

2)

I honestly don't get it...

It's okay, it probably won't be funny after someone explains it. I'll probably change it soon anyhow, I'm fickle.

You have bad taste and like sucky music.

Hells yeah. But I still prefer Pisces Iscariot or the Aeroplane Flies High box set :)

You realize that Pisces Iscariot's songs are all off of b-sides from singles of Siamese Dream, right?

Your point?

Siamese Dream is one of the best albums of the 90's imo.

Smashing Pumpkins sucks.

You like any music that came out after 1978?

Yeah, just got the latest by Ian Anderson: "Rupi's Dance".

Monte Montgomery
Mourning Widows
AC/DC
Aerosmith
Extreme
Van Halen
Megadeath
Metallica
etc...

Old school hard-rocker then, I can respect that. Shoulda figured from the Kiss quote and Jethro Tull posts ;)

You know, I'm just now beginning to appreciate the subtle nuances of GnR's 'Spaghetti Incident'...that album is a bonafide classic!

That's Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.

Siamese Dream is the one with Today, Cherub Rock and Disarm on it.

I would say that yes, it is in fact a great album. I liked everything they put out between Gish and Mellon Collie. Adore was a little hard to swallow since I liked the sound of their earlier stuff so much, but I grew to appreciate Adore and MACHINA. As you can probably tell by my username, I used to be a hardcore fan...I had t-shirts hanging in my room that I wouldn't wear for fear of getting them dirty, I bought about 20 bootlet concert CD's at $25 a pop, and always wanted one of the original Earphoria promo CD's that went for $200+ on eBay (never got an original). Now I still really really like them and they will always have a place in my heart but I can't say with certainty that they are my absolute favorite band anymore. I feel that the magic was lost after they let Jimmy Chamberlin go (though that needed to be done so he could straighten his addicted butt up).

You can watch the video for Today or the Viewphoria video and tell that they had a lot of fun together. They were a pretty funny/strange bunch though, especially Billy and James Iha. Not as weird as some other bands though!
