Smashing Instruments in Concert

I think there's an actual term for when a band destroys their instruments at the end of a concert. I read it in a novel one time; I think it was two words that both started with "C." I also believe it was started by The Who.

Anyway, does anyone know what this term is?

Is it called a Townshend? 😛

"Dude he totally pulled a Townshend on that guitar."

ok ok .. I made it up. 🙂

If I can't figure out the one I read, this is what I'm going with. 🙂

C-sucking retardism?

I absolutely detest and hate any dumbass, retard "band" who smashes instruments. I can forgive some REAL punk/heavy metal people for doing it, but who in the eff does some emo, 15 minute, manufactured crap """band""" think they are (*cough* avril). It's stupid and a waste of an extremely beautiful instrument. Also goes to show how bad they suck they can't 'wow' the crowd with their talent, but need to break stuff. OMFG, si da br3ak3r111

It worked well in Nine Inch Nails' newest concert DVD. I know what you mean, you have to reach a certain level to be able to do whatever this is called.
