SmartPower gone Dumb...

I purchased an Antec 300w ATX 12v 'SmartPower' Power Supply. My MSI KT3 Ultra2-R board has a slot for the PS to be plugged in and claims to monitor all fan speeds and such but the PSU is not being monitored. I'm aware that some software will get an error when fans go below 2000rpm - but in this case I don't think that's the problem.

Any suggestions? The PS works fine - supplies power perfectly and the Fan on it works fine also, but the monitors in XP dont detect it.

Help would be appreciated.

You connected the P/S fan sensor cable to a fan header on your motherboard, and it's not detecting the fan RPM?

Or did you only connect the ATX connector?

The Fan to the Fan Connector.

I know the fan sensor works (on the board itself) because I've tested other fans on it....
I know the fan sensor works (from the fan) because I've tried it on other fan connectors (the one for the case fan) and it detected the fan speed in the Bios. But, noticeably, the fan speed is under 2000rpm....sometimes as low as 1850. I also know that windows fan sensing apps don't work if the fan is below 2000. However, MSI should know that fans out there for PSs run at below that. I have the newest MSI Temp Utility and for the PS fan it's detecting 0.
