You might as well ask for a smartphone that can't dial a "6".

Hell, even most feature phones have cameras these days.

My work has a similar policy. However, they have begun to allow camera phones with the camera permanently disabled or destroyed and then only by the one time inspection by a security guard at one of the entrances. They give you an approval sticker that lets everyone who sees you using it that its been inspected. You could ask if this site has a similar policy since it'll expand your choices greatly.

OP, I think you'll be looking for a Blackberry model.

Like hell I'm going to destroy the camera on a high end smartphone. 😛 I'd just leave the smartphone in the car or at home, and get a cheapo prepaid flip device to carry at work if necessary.

Do you have an existing smartphone? Can you remove the camera module? I know that on the iPhone 4/s you can remove the rear camera module, and that also disables the front camera. You can launch the app, but the UI aperture never opens.

All phones today have cameras, except ones where they specifically omit the camera to fulfill the needs of certain businesses.

Would it be a problem for you to just leave your phone in your car or is that not allowed either? If you need a phone with you while you're there, then they ought to provide you with one. If not, then you may as well not bring one with you or like I said, leave it in your car if that's allowed.

A really really old one.

I know that Samsung makes a camera-less dumbphone that works on Verizon, each team at work was issued one as an on-call phone. We got them less than a year ago. The Samsung... Haven maybe??

You could go with a Blackberry. Depends on how much you dig apps. You can see if the phone offers Wifi tethering and then use an older Ipod Touch (without the camera) or Kindle Fire or something similar if you want something with apps while at work.

Or use Google Voice and a pre-paid phone like Tracfone or something may work along with a smart phone when off the clock and have it ring both phones.

However on like a Tracfone you will have to dial your G-voice number first when calling out to display your G-Voice number to others. Or set dialing out on the Tracfone to private and dial people if you don't want to dial the G-voice number first and confuse people with two numbers.

You will be able to receive G-voice calls and send and receive texts under your G-voice number though. Should be sufficient enough.

Hope this helps.

iPhone 4s would be super easy to mod. Take out the two bottom screws, slide back panel off. Pop off the camera connector and pull the camera out. Put a small piece of white tape covering the lens on the inside to make it obvious there is no camera. Pop the rear panel back on.
