i want to sub to atnt's cable moderm service,
and this cmi100 is supported, but i believe it should be
the external model, anyone ever use this internal one?
any idea on how is this compatible with atnt's service?

Aren't these one way broadband? Meaning you have to use dialup for return? I don't think I have seen an internal modem that complies with DOCSIS.

EDIT: Ooops....my mistake....they are DOCSIS compliant. I did see the price is now down to about 57.00 + shipping just about everywhere they are carried.....I just don't trust BestData....I have had problems with their regular modems in the past.

Unfortunately, I totally agree with you.
I don't trust BestData.

I bought an external cable modem for my in-laws, and it has not worked - the cable installer guy was not able to get a "lock" on it.
While it could be a problem with the cable company (though it should work), I emailed Best Data technical support for help and NEVER received a reply.

For something as important as your high-speed connection, I would rather pay a few bucks extra and get a name-brand cable modem.
With rebate deals, you can get one from RCA or Motorola for about $100-$130.
