SMARTGART Disables AGP (albatron Px845 with Radeon 9600)

Ok, i have an albatron Px845pev Pro board that supports 4x AGP.
I have an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro that supports 8xAGP

In the Catalyst Control Center i set agp to 4x (not even aktivate fast writes\reads) and after i restart SMARTGART has disabled AGP again.
Happens all the time.. donno why.

Makes me crazy... any ideas why SMARTGARD thinks its "unsave" to use AGP?

Common problem, you need to reinstall your motherboard chipset drivers.

well, it did work... buuuuut....

After about 1 hour of Battlefield Vietnam my comp suddenly restarted. never happened before, so i am quite shure its because of the AGP...

Have disabeld Fast write and AGP write and read now. Dont have time now, but will test how this works out and come back here tomorrow i guess. What a bummer :-(

after reinstalling your chipset i would uninstall ati drivers and run driver cleaner in safemode then reinstall the catalyst
