Another happy user of SmartFTP. I didn't have any probs w/ it and spanning directories either. Haven't done much of that lately (although I did delete my personal website on purpose and that went through multiple dirs to remove files on the server). So, all-in-all it works for me.

If you want to send me a bunch of files I'll fire up a FTP Server for 'ya. :D

FTP://192.168.0.1 the USER / PW is whatever you normally use, I'm psychic. ;)

Seriously, no lockups ever w/ smartftp, maybe uninstall and download latest package and reinstall, perhaps a dll or something is corrupt/out-of-date or got overwritten by another program using the same filepack?

user error ;)

Yeah, I select a lsit of directories, drag them to a local folder, and it downloads the first 4 of them and then stops and says the operation is complete, that's user error. It's also user error when I drag a file from a local folder to the remote server and it just locks up, right?

Of course!
Make sure you're draggin it properly :p

Been using SmartFTP for a while now. Its free, fast, and has a great interface. I've never encountered any crashes or bugs. I've downloaded multiple files from multiple sites at the same time with no errors. What version are you running?

CuteFTP 2.6 is the best FTP software.

I don't need integration with a pr0n search engine or wireless uplink capability to my watch ;)

Same here KeyserSoze. BTW, FTP = "To d/l files or upload files to remote computer systems via the Internet's file transfer protocol." :)
