smartcard?

I got one with my dragon(a reader) and i've no clue what use it is...?

some cell phones are able to use these, i guess. your able to put your addresses and speed dial info on the card, edit it on your comp , and reinsert it to your phone. that way you don't have to use the tiny buttons on your phone to do it.
there's supposed to be other devices around that use them too, but...
anyway, have fun with it .

so it has nothing to do with online purchases, heh, i just happend to notice it fits CC's perfectly....hrm, well i dont' have a cell phone....the front panel has some room on it, i may just put a headphone jack or soething up there yay!

mine came with 2 usb ports built in to it . otherwise it would probably still be in the box

it does have to do with online purchases

its to be used with smart cards (the credit cards with built in microchip... like the amex blue and the new "smart" visa)

cool . so you can download your account balance to your card and blow it all..
did your's come with a card ? mine has a 2 position card that came with the reader\writer.

yeah, i'd probably not use it except for the usb ports on there....i wish there were a way to take the SCR out so i can drill some holes and put a headphone jack up there.....oh well. Mine didnt come with a card, just the reader....though i did get it second hand.....probably have no real use for it anyways, since i don't have a credit card, expecially one with smart thingamajig on it....

you dont use cards that came with it

you use your current credit cards (either amex blue, or one of the other new credit cards that have built in microchips)
