smart Q-Fan function in BIOS

i was talking to one kid and his is called cool-n-quiet and doesn't have values you can change where as mine does

i have cool&quiet....i have conflicting sets of directions from AMD on how to enable it...so I really can't....kind of sucks....i don't notice a single difference with it 'on' or 'off'...at least i think i'm enabling it

Cool and Quiet = Powers Down Processor when not needed (much akin to Intel's Speedstep)
QFan = Takes advantage of the slower CPU speed as the CPU runs cooler, therefore the fan does not need to run as fast, if at all...

On my A64 3200+, with both enabled, my CPU fan is typically off.....

There were three steps i needed to take in order to get mine to work...

#1. Enable Cool & Quiet & QFan in the Bios
#2. Install the latest processor driver direct from AMD.
#3. In your Power Management (bottom of the screensaver tab in Display Properties), set the power scheme to 'Minimal'
