Good deal I think.

also check out the light on 12x10x32 cdrw $93. This is cheap dont know if its burn proof.

good luck

It should work with all smartmedia devices. The price on the 128meg card is $87. The price just dropped $8 bucks since yesterday. This is a great price.

Can somebody explain why the Mr. Flash brand 128MB smartmedia card is $85, while the Dane-Elec brand of the same size is $200? They have the exact same description. Maybe the Mr. Flash has a slow transfer rate? Anybody have any experience with them?

It has been posted here that Mr. Flash does have a slower transfer rate (compared to Kingston and maybe Viking). The search feature is your friend 🙂.

Does this card work with MP3 players or cameras? Most are only specified for an additional 64MB.

how credible is this story? if it's true, how much slower? 10% slower?

well, the warranty is done thru who, i think i ran across that newegg handles the warranty... could be wrong.

but can anyone verify the speeds, this stuff usually doesn't die out on you anyway (knock on wood 🙂). Tho maybe not so important in mp3 players, curious for digicams.

<< How do I figure out if it works with the Canon S300 Camera I just ordered --Says it uses Type 1 cards. >>

Canon uses CompactFlash Type 1-- wrong format, this is SmartMedia.😕

The previous discussion about speed was regarding CompactFlash, not SmartMedia.

I'm under the impression that the speed increases discussed are more the result of the controller rather than the flash memory itself. For SmartMedia the controller is on the device, while CompactFlash houses the controller on the card (hence the relative bulk), so memory is badged and sold with varying degrees of rated speed. As far as I know SmartMedia itslef does not have significant speed differences across the board.

Of course, I may be wrong.

what about compared to the Dane-Electric card?

for 64 meg, the Dane would end up being only $5 more than Mr. Flash.
