Hi all, I am new to Smart Home installation and need some ideas/knowledge for a basi
Cc smart system I wish to have in a house that currently is under renovation.
One of the problems is the country I live in.. Thailand and that means that there is basically not much product available and I need to import nearly everything from the US (tax of 30% on goods and shipping cost) In other words I cannot afford wasting money by using the wrong product.
I ordered the Samsung Smartthings kit from Amazon and I plan to use this as my "brain" and plan to add compatible smart light switches, plugs and bulbs. I ordered Philips Hue starter kit, Motion sensor and dimmer too and now need some good ideas about the extension as mentioned.
Please note that we have 220 v and the electicians here generally install 2 wires (no ground) for lights and light switches,m. I was considering TP Link but TP link needs 3 wires I understand. 1 of them must be NEUTRAL and NOT GROUND, is that correct (sorry but I am not experienced with electric stuff)?
A system with positive & negative wiring would be best but I am not sure what can be used for 220 v.
One more thing, I would use the Philip Hue lights since the dimmer is operated with battery BUT they have no downlights and I mostly have downlights in my house except a few chandlies and standing lamps.

Any clue who offers smart downlights at reasonable price for 220 v circuits which could be operated via Smartthings?
Sorry for the lengthy explanations and hopefully someone can help me out here?
