Smart enough to set up a GoFundMe account, NOT smart enough to remove a baby from van

from: Georgia baby dies when family forgets him in scorching vehicle after returning from church

An 11-month-old boy died after he was left in a hot car in Georgia for more than 2 hours Saturday when his family returned home from church.

Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson told CNN the boy's family was returning from church with his relatives, which included the baby's grandparents Kyle and Meta Hendershot along with their adult daughter and another grandchild.

When they returned home at 3 p.m., no one brought baby Jaxon inside the house in Chickamauga Ga. from the Toyota SUV. His mother Mandie Hendershot, who works overnight as a nurse, woke up around 5:30 p.m. and asked for her son.

That's when the family realized he was still in the car, which reached temperatures as high as 172 degrees inside the vehicle that day, the sheriff said.

"It appears that there were other things on their mind," Wilson told the network. "There was a lack of communication within the three adults. They assumed that one of the others had brought in the child and laid him down. They didn't communicate who would get the child."

Mandie Hendershot attempted CPR on her son and rushed him to the hospital where she works but he was declared dead.

The heartbroken mother has been posting pictures of her fiancé and Jaxon, their only child, and messages on her Facebook page since the tragedy.

"My fiancées family has traveled from out of town to support and comfort us, to force us to eat, drink and move when we would lay in bed and cry," Hendershot wrote. "My fiancée and I had to leave a restaurant in tears last night when the table next to us had a little girl celebrating her first birthday."

The family is asking for donations on a GoFundMe page as Hendershot writes she and her fiancé are devastated by the incident and are unsure when they can return to work.

An autopsy is being conducted and the death appears accidental, Wilson said. But an investigation is ongoing and charges are possible.

An average of 38 children die in the U.S. each year after parents leave their children trapped inside a hot car, according to KidsAndCars.org, an organization that tracks these incidents across the country.

Seriously WTF?

GoFundMe seems to be a shitshow that allows bigots and morons to fleece other bigots and morons out of money, out of solidarity of bigotry and moronity.

How horrible must it have been for the mom working third shift waking up to "so where's my son?"

People are stupid...

Oh and they have a Mazda SUV in the pictures, not a Toyota.

1. Death of child from parent/family stupdity.
2. More income can be used on yourself since you're too stupid to know how to properly parent.
3. ???????
4. Ask for money from others because you're too lazy to work in this world, so you attempt to exploit people through the media over your stupidity.

Better get some of you bleeding hearts to the donate page!

Edit: Wow just wow.... $2,100 / $3000 raised in 1 day. People make me fucking sick. George Carlin always talked about the abundance of stupid people. I guess it's just stupid people being stupid and donating to stupid.

Reading comprehension fail?

Unless the grandparents set up the gofundme, it sounds like the grandparents, and other people killed the child. And the mom, who was sleeping since she works graveyard had nothing to do with it. Except I guess feeling guilty that she trusted the child to her parents, or her fiance's parents.

I don't understand... if they aren't working, how are they going out to restaurants? Why would they go out to restaurants while they are grieving like this?

They went out because it takes less effort to go get food then it does to plan and prepare a meal.

It says that their "adult daughter" came back from church with them, which some assume to be the mother. No where does it say that the mother was already home and no where does it mention a sister to the mother. That said, I think you are right because they probably wouldn't list the mother as simply one of "his relatives."

Does anyone else see the irony of a child dying right after they attended church? They must have done something to make God angry, so I refuse to donate to this cause.

Keep on singling them out, so you can feel morally righteous.

I will keep singling them out, because they're moronic bigots. If black lives really mattered to them they'd realize that what they're doing is actually costing black lives (and they'd focus on the fact that by far the #1 killer of young black men is other black men), but they don't really care, they just want more attention so they can get mo' money.

You're misinterpreting the "black lives matter" meme. It doesn't mean they want more black people to be alive. The phrase means there is money to be made from black lives, almost like slavery or dog fighting. Any time a black person is killed, there is a way to profit from it.

"I'm rich, bitch!"

I could just as easily say shares of insurance companies matter. Does that mean I love insurance companies? Not really. It just means I enjoy profiting from them.

I don't know man, I live in Georgia and there's definitely times I feel like the climate here has juxtaposed itself with that of Hell. I usually here a fiddle around then too...

On a note unrelated to your post, it's interesting to see how a thread with no relation to race has become a place for racist individuals to hold up there "look at me I'm racist" signs.

Black Lives Monetize

I'm now officially changing their name to make it more fitting, they don't even need to change their shirts. It's perfect. :awe:

You're absolutely right, this bigot started it:

You know I think a modern vehicle should sense when someone is in the vehicle and alert someone. My car knows when someone is in the seat. It also calls the service center when its time for service so the tech is already there. That would save lives because this happens every summer.
