Smart Cars

My wife's friend bought one. How are these little things? I'm a little worried b/c of Manitoba's winters. Something with such a small wheel base will be a bit scary on our roads, I'm thinking.

But on the upside 4.2L/100km (whatever that is in MPG) is freaking amazing mileage, it's better than the Prius.

My Aunt and Uncle went around Italy for vacation last year and got the chance to ride in one. They say they're a little uncomfertable but soooo convenient for parking and such, which is the main reason they were made I suppose.

4.2 L / 100 km = 0.0179 gal / mile. Or flip it over to get the units we are accustomed to: 56 miles/gallon.

About 5 years ago I really wanted a Smart car (I first saw them in Germany). But they didn't sell in America, so I couldn't get it.

I'd rather die than be caught riding in one of those silly toys. Might as well just go to Toys R Us and pick up your next ride.

Not to mention someone will run your ass over in their SUV. 😛
