Please tell me that they forgot a zero in there somewhere:

It’s a clever idea. The $24,000 limited edition car, named “Smart Forjeremy,” has a bright white dashboard with an interior that looks like the cockpit of an airplane. Its rear wings trimmed in red light up as the brakes. A 75-horsepower electric engine hits 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 77 miles per hour. Urban driving range is roughly 90 mph on one charge.

No, a car with 90 mile range, and that light will have some massive initial acceleration.
The electric drag bikes and cars, like that white zombie are incredible.

When I read "Smart Forjeremy", I thought they meant Jeremy Clarkson - as though they built something fast just so he'd get stop making fun of them.

The White Zombie is a purpose built street legal 1972 Datsun 1200, and the powerband is really telling when looking at the historic numbers. Over the years Wayland has changed batteries, controllers, etc.
E.T. has dropped down from the 13's and 12's down to the low 10's, but the top speed has always been around 110~118. All the action is in the bottom end with electrics. If you can get them hooked up, they have full torque at 0 RPM!
His best 0~60 is 1.8 seconds.

It might already be working: Last month the Fortwo sold 704 units, a 70-percent spike from the 404 it sold during the same period last year. That’s not a lot of cars, but it’s remarkably better than the Acura ZDX, which sold 37 units nationwide last month, or the Dodge Nitro, which sold exactly zero. These are the vehicles on our list of the Worst Car Flops Of The Year.

lol

We'll, the electric version eliminates three of the biggest problems with the Fortwo. Underpowered, crappy transmission, and high operating costs. Still an absolutely awful car though. Looks like something that belongs at the Red Bull Flugtag.

I've driven a lot of different car models. Too many to list. The Fortwo still stands out as the worst I've gotten behind the wheel of. Might very well be this generation's Reliant Robin.

For years, I thought the "Fortwo" was pronounced "fort-wo." It seems a less bit ridiculous now.
