I hope they get fucking canceled. Oh yeah, let's introduce Doomsday so Clark can kill him fucking effortlessly and split Doomsday from Davis only to have Davis die a fucking psycho killer anyways! Fuck this shit. Let's introduce Zod for no fucking reason, with Clark being emo and Lois inexplicably being lost somewhere in time. Why the hell is Jimmy Olsen dead? What fucking purpose does that serve? Why not kill Chloe, she's useless?
 
I haven't watched Smallville since like season 5 or something. It was good but then started getting too 'out there' for me.

So can Clark fly now?

Fuck Smallville. OMFG I can't believe this shit, there's going to be another damn season? This was supposed to be it, he should be Superman by now. Millar and Gough quitting was the worst thing that happened to Smallville, which should be called Metropolis since all the country flair left the show.

Fuck the CW. He defeated Doomsday, the creature that technically killed him in the comics, in like 4 seconds without even his ability to fly.
 
Could someone quickly summarize what has happened after Season 5? I mean very general (Season 5 was w/ Aquaman and Cyborg)

Lex Luthor left the damn show, so his replacement is a woman named Tess who is the lame.
The show moved to Metropolis and started sucking quickly.
Clark and Lois hit it off until Lana returns at which point Doomsday appears.
Lana BECOMES A SUPERHERO THAT ABSORBS KRYPTONITE.

They got rid of Clark's mom, who is now a senator, the fortress almost entirely, and pretty much anything that made Smallville fun to watch. Even the allusions to Clark becoming Superman are gone or downright suck.

It's like watching The Hills now.

My guess is that by breezing over how he survived the explosion, there's going to be some explanation next season (joy) about how Doomsday is only in stasis somewhere, etc. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Lois zipping around in time is able to reverse everything that just happened.

As for Jimmy, once I saw Chloe give the camera to his little brother at the funeral, I was just waiting to hear his parents call out, "come on Jimmy, let's go." I mean, they mentioned his name during the service as Henry James, so I wouldn't be surprised if his little brother's name was James Henry. Heh.

OMG I'm glad I stopped watching. Lex was great. The stupid Lana example you just mentioned is one of the reasons I stopped (that type of crap I mean). Lois (is it still Erika Durance?) is a babe at least.

Indeed, indeed. Great finale. Supernatural's been one of those shows that actually does get better with each season. The first two were good in their own right, but this last one was fairly awesome.

Correct me if I'm wrong on Doomsday - if I remember from the comics, he came from underground right? I remember reading it and seeing "BOOM BOOM BOOM" coming from the woods. I don't know if they ever explained how he got there.

In regards to the finale - I feel the same anger other people here have. The worst part for me is that he still can't fly...that should have been done 2-3 seasons ago. There's just so many things they've done offbeat from the comics. I've loved the show but if this was the end, fvck them.

I don't honestly remember what happened at the beginning of that comic...although this might be their attempt at keeping with cannon.

One thing I will say--at least this past season is better than either five or six; whichever one had them following that map around the world chasing artifacts, with Lana in her kimono-looking thing doing flying kicks everywhere. Yeah, could've done without that particular season.
 
Yeah Doomsday, in the comics, was buried on Earth a long time ago.

I'm so fucking pissed, I'm going to go watch Battlestar Galactica jump into the atmosphere on New Caprica; best scene ever.
 
Holy Christ! You guys are couldn't be more right! This season was so dark and stupid. I only watch because I feel married to the show at this point, and it would be silly to stop this far through. Who do these writers think would enjoy this garbage????

But what the hell is that? Is that little boy supposed to be the REAL Jimmy Olsen? If so all of Aaron Ashmore's scenes were for naut!

And what is with the dreadfully long dragout of useless scenes? Two seconds of good stuff and its over?

PUT THIS SHOW OUT OF ITS GODDAM MISERY OR AT LEAST LIGHTEN IT UP AND GIVE THE FANS WHAT WE WANT!!!!!

(if you go to youtube and type in "smallville credits" or "metropolis credits" you can find lot of cool fanmade opening titles with him included...excellent work fans....keep it up!)
 
If I learned one thing from Smallville, the season finales are huge wastes of time that waste awesome canon characters on two episodes. Also nothing that happens actually matters as the Season Premier everything is somehow magically righted.
 
I almost forgot this show was still on. It's been so long since I've watched a Smallville episode. I think the show started sucking once Clark graduated from high school.
