Smaller Heatsink Help

I purchased an i5-4670k and an ASRock z87 board after checking out mfenn's sticky at the top of this forum (thank you by the way if you're reading). I bought an evo 212 heatsink to go with it, but the 212 is just a like a couple millimeters to tall for the case I'm trying to put it all in. So i was wondering if anyone could help me pick out a similar heatsink that is just a little bit shorter, maybe something around 150 mm would be good.

I'll eventually be doing some mild overclocking and would like to keep the price around the same at that 30-40 dollar range but I'm willing to spend more if i need to in order to get a heatsink that will fit.
 
Cooler Master Hyper T4 $30 ($20 AR). 152mm tall, down from 159mm for the EVO. It uses the same fan but with lower maximum RPM. I'm not sure about performance, it looks the same size and weight, I would expect similar performance per RPM.

There's also Zalman CNPS10X Optima $30, also 152mm tall. It runs a bit louder on idle but it's otherwise decent.

Yeah, I tend to go with the less obvious choice, even if it costs more. I have two Thermalright True Spirit 140s in my PCs right now.

Hey thanks for all the good advice everyone. I ended up getting overly anxious about setting up my new stuff and couldn't get myself to wait and just decided to try putting the 212 in and seeing if it would fit once i had it all screwed down. Didn't want to mess with it at first since I thought i needed to return it. It just barely clears by like a mm at best.

I'm using a rosewill redbone u3 case. Liked the red look of it and it had a rebate on it too and i didn't even think about the heatsink not fitting.

It was just the knobs on top that were catching by a little when i first looked at it. I didn't even know you could just file them down a little without causing any problems.

Yeah well the heat sink is just a pile of metal, you can't really break it.

Yeah the Evos one of the best things these days I think for cheap air.

Still have to tear my old TRUE copper off the HTPC to put the L5639 in it yet.

Being lazy today.

And sure ya can, if you tear into a pipe, but hopefully people know better that that.
