Ok, so I was getting back from another house down the street at 11.55pm last night with my laundary clothes and saw one guy coming out of house where I live (It is kind of house with four apartments and garage) with a bike on his shoulders. And I know that this guy is not from one of those 4 apts.

I asked him what is he doing...he replies "I am taking my bike" And I was shocked and aggrevated, wtf, he was taking my bike. I argued with him for like 5 minutes. But could not attack him (because of clothes in hand).

Finally he just walked with my bike,:Q I called cops but they arrived like 30 :frown: mins after call and by the time he was already gone and lost.

He was like 5'5", 140-150 lbs and I am 6'0" 200 lbs and I think I should have attacked him

uhh yea. What's more important, having to wash your clothes again, or beating a dumbass thief into the ground who's trying to steal your bike?

You have to be kidding me. You let this guy steal your bike right in front of your eyes and did nothing about it because you had laundry!? I hope it was a cheap bike.

I also thought about possibility of him having gun or knife on him.

So you argued with him, with clothes in hand, making it virtually impossible for you to defend yourself in the unlikely event that he did have a weapon...

geez, ATOT has reached a new low.

appropriate action was drop the clothes and just demand he put your bike down.

oh well, hope all works out for you.

Bike thieves make me angry. I love my bike, and I've had nightb=mares about having my bike stolen.

You're an exception, though. This guy deserves to have your bike because you practically gave it to him.

Could you tell me where you live? I'll be over to take the rest of your stuff this weekend.

You argued with him for 5 MINUTES about whether it was YOUR BIKE and then let him WALK AWAY WITH IT ON HIS SHOULDERS BECAUSE IT WAS LOCKED?!?!

Sweet christ I'm speechless.

Given the weight you said and chances are slim that he had a knife I'd have put the clothes down and choked him to the point of submission. Then when he was good and hurt and unable to run I'd call the cops.

Knife is a valid concern, but I'd probably be blinded by the concern of it and just have to make him hurt. He probably argued with you for 5 min instead of running/stabbing you, because he didn't have a knife and wanted to see if you'd be too big a pussy to do anything.

If you're just going to let people walk off with your stuff and not do anything, well, you're a huge fvcking pussy.
