Small request -FAQ link in forums

Would it be possible to get a sticky AT FAQ link in the forums? I know the OS forum needs one. Probably General Hardware too. Hell, all the forums could use it. Thanks for atleast looking.

I second the motion. In our original thread, I also suggested that the link be subject-specific. OS forum --> OS FAQ, so people will be less likely to miss the topic if it's there. Very necessary.

seriously though, there are LOTS of redundant posts, and i think a link to the faq's would cut that down at least somewhat. it would be best if they said "please read the faqs before posting a question!"

i know the mods dont always respond to stuff like this (the reason? who knows?) but this is an idea whos time has come (actually it came a long time ago)

there used to be a link....
 
We are working on a few things that will improve FAQ visibility.

Having run the FAQ section since it has started (just over 6 months ago), we have seen the number of articles grow to over 100. I am to cover as much as possible, but it is difficult when we are all very busy, and I seldom get any "presentable" submissions.

That being said however, there are a lot of people who are just too plain lazy to check the FAQs, or just forget about them until they are mentioned.

As I said above, we are working on it.

Don't worry...I already have that "How to change drive letters" FAQ written. Just waiting for a few things, and then you should see it up.

Andy - keep up the FAQ work. Everything that you have posted that I have seen so far looked rockin' good. IF you need someone to give you a hand maintaining or converting something over to an understandable FAQ format drop me a PM - I would be glad to help out....

Links on all forums now available!! I didn't notice it until i was looking at what that yellow thing was doing at the top of the forums 😛 It's definitely easier now! Thanks n0cmonkey for the suggestion and AndyHui for putting that up. Hope it helps the users now
