Small polaris P12 incomming?

Yeaa laptop i guess.
Didnt the apple p11 full die go to 35w?
Then this is like 20w? But hey they must sell a lot of that segment if they use ressources making a new cut.

Not a good sign for Vega. A P12 bigger than P10 would have hinted at enough room between the current Polaris and future Vega products to fit in another chip. I'm not sure why a small P12 is even necessary. Maybe it's a pipe cleaner of some sort?

Maybe this is the successor $20-30 chip for OEMs to throw in mid-tier laptops and slap "dedicated graphics" on the spec sheet? M200 series iirc.

Woke up this morning dreaming this was for zen chipset. Lol
Obviously its not but they need something to complement and oem bundle zen be it in desktop or laptops. And this is it. And it must be needed in tens of millions. Pretty smart considering the wsa.
Besides when already done for that market 3xx mobile is history.
So now it makes perfect sense.

There might be 3 purposes for this small design:
Integrating into zen apu H2
Cheap Laptops
Productivity desktop supplementing zen cpu

Half p11 8cu
Surely 64bit. Dddr3.

Oland successor probably. The new encoding blocks and lower power will be nice for barebones OEM machines and cheap updates for HTPCs.

That would be perfect. A 30-40W GPU with a modern architecture and media encode/decode. No such card exists today, and even if it's a low margin market with relatively few sales (though OEM sales might be substantial), it'd dominate its market. Yes please.

Ehh. Using ddr3 wouldnt that require dedigning a new memcontroller?
If so its probably ddr5.
Or it is some some ultra small vega variant? Unlikely though...
