Wow..that'a a lot of damage....I thought it was similar to that crash in Tampa a few months back.
Hope nobody in the building were hurt. 🙁

SOS huh? sounds like the terrorists have a new MO.

Kinda hard to fly a plane into a skyscraper. What did the pilot think, it was a runway?

They say it was possibly a Piper Seneca II....I wouldn't be surprised if he DID have gear problems, I've had gear probs in a Seneca I before.

The reports say that the plane was already on fire before it hit the building, so most likely an accident...

If it actually was a terrorist then maybe the rest of the free world will wake up and stop harping on us for being in the middle east.

<< i can't take anymore of this 🙁 >>

What? Aviation accidents?

:disgust:

But in Rome, the senate?s president, Marcello Pera, said it ?very probably? appeared to be a terrorist attack.

They have since said it is very probably an accident, and that the pilot reported problems before it hit. Not to mention the fact that eyewitnesses are reporting that the plane was trailing smoke before it even hit the building.

Even if it is an terrorist attack (which it doesn't look like it is) , if terrorists have resorted to flying small single engine piper aircraft into buildings, everything is going to be all right.

I just heard the pilot was 75 years old with 30+ years of flying experince. had to be some sort of mechanical problem i think.

Some italian dude on CNN is saying there is a lot of airports in that area, and that at that time of day, there is a lot of air traffic in that area. They also said the street below that building is very wide, and that he could have been aiming for that street. There are now saying it was not a piper, but a Commander. Still pretty small.

I dont get it....they say it was a accident.... but like... "they say they couldnt find a place to land" ....i say... ' right so just crash into the biggest building you can find, right?'

Seems a little odd that there is nothing all around at that level so the pilot slams into a building. I don't know, seems really strange to me.

Am I the only one that finds some relation between:

from CNN: <<The former king of Afghanistan has returned to his home country and a red carpet welcome after 29 years in exile. The Italian military aircraft carrying Mohammad Zahir Shah touched down amid tight security at Bagram airbase outside Kabul shortly before midday local time Thursday. Zahir Shah was accompanied on his return by Afghanistan's interim leader, Hamid Karzai, and six Afghan Cabinet ministers who traveled to Rome to escort him back to Kabul.>>

and this topic...this hit at the Pirelli's building happens exactly after the former afghan king left Italy. What a "coincidence".

3 death people, 30 to 40 injured. Good it was relatively late when it happened and there weren't alot of people left in the buiding.
