Small Operating System

When I checked by BIOS on my computer, I noticed that I am able to boot from the digital card reader that's built into my printer. I bought a 512 MB SD card from my friend for 20 bucks, so, now I'm wondering, does anyone knows a decent operating system that could fit onto my SD card that I could boot from?

Do you know of any Windows OSes that will fit on there?
(Not against open source, just prefer windows.)

Win9x. 2k might fit. It's a great way to waste an SD card.

You bet. ^.^ Thanks. I will check Open BSD out as well.

Win2K would not fit.

Win98se installed mini takes about 440MB.

Might be a little smaller if you remove components that you do not need with nLite.

At my work, we have lots of "thin-clients" that generally have Windows NT or CE embedded on the device. Typically, they've been really stripped down for a specific purpose but it's certainly possible to do.
