Hello, a friend of mine has a Westell Versalink 327W Modem/Router and is running DSL on a laptop and a desktop WIRED in the same room perfectly fine. Now, she broke out an older computer she had and it is not high speed compatible and is running Windows ME, but everything runs smooth with this system, though ME blows. She wants this in her bedroom which is a good distance away from the modem/router.
Now, I'm thinking about getting a LINKSYS WIRELESS G PCI ADAPTER and putting it in her computer's pci slot. See link#1 below to see what I mean. Cause she has no way to make this comuter wired without lots of drilling and cable running...
Is this wireless g card compatible with this type of Westell router/modem? And if so, do you think this (the linksys wireless card) is all she'll need to get internet access? If not, what would you recommend that I do to get her up and running?
I'm a pretty technically proficient guy, but not a genius in this area, so if you guys would take it easy on the tech jargon, I'd be much appreciated. Also, I'm very appreciative on any and all help, too.
Thanks
