Small Laptop

I've been looking for a new laptop. The first one I bought, I wanted all the best specs but it was just too huge for my to carry around. So, now I just want something really small but still resemble a laptop. I looked at the hell Inspiron 300m but I know there are other laptops that are better. Please give me some input. THanks

IBM makes a very small thinkpad called the X11. I am not sure of it's current specs but its an impressive laptop and very small/lightweight.

there is no such thing as the X11. Did you mean X31? There is also the X40.

If you want an ultraportable, there are also the Sony TR series, Powerbook 12 is also pretty cool if you can tolerate Macs. X31 is nice for the speed and battery life, but no optical drive unless used with a bulky base.

two important things you need to ask yourself before people can give u an answer...

1. What will its uses be for? Internet/word proc, light gaming (cs), hardcore gaming (far cry, D3).

2. How much are u willing to spend?

The IBM X series are extremly small and portable I carry around my x31 everywhere and alot of the time I forget its there. Considering its size it is very durable. Unfortunately like most ultra portables there is no built in optical drive. You can always get the media slice or you can save some money and use a usb or firewire enclosure with a normal cdrw drive. I rarely ever need to use my optical drive on the go though and I end up installing programs over the network so I barely use my usb cdrw.

yea good point.

1. I'm in college so I wanted use this for internet/word processing and of course counter strike, lol. No intense gaming.

2. I was trying to spend maybe $1400.

And I have no plans to switch to mac, Imma stay with PC. Thanks
