I was at my dad's today while he is out of town and I noticed the hose between the furnace and the humidifier has broken. He doesn't use the humidifier anyway, but it's making the furnace pretty inefficient as you can imagine.
My question is: Since the humidifier isn't used anyway, would it be best to simply barricade the hose holes, or to replace the hose?
