Small digital camera

Hi all, So the wife has given me a mission to find a small digital camera in the 100~200 dollar range that she can fit in her cute little purse. Id like something that doesnt require you to stand absolutely sstill to take a clear photo like our current camera. She wants it for 3 christmas parties tomorrow and this weekend. I thought I would come to the experts and see what my options are!!!!Any help is greatly appreciated.

*Edit: Oh yeah it has to be something thats available @ Best buy or Circuit city or some B&M * like that since I can't have it shipped here in time.

Defnitely a Canon digital Eph although they are expensive. The Canon A520 is pretty small and will only run you $180 or so as well. The nice thing about the A520 is it uses double A batteries, so if your rechargables die, you can stop and pick up some non recahargables as a quick fix.

I kinda like the idea about the A520... do you have one??? how small is it in size compared to the Elph series?? what about image stabalization??

Best Buy has the Sony DSC-S40 4.1MPx for $135. Looks like a neat little camera with optical zoom. DPreview.com gave it a pretty nice review too.

Edited: I saw one of the hot deals sites has a thread about getting this camera for less. PM if you are interested.

Thanks to all who made recommendations. Went and picked up the A520 last night after having the wife play around with both that one and the sony in the store. I think we both like the cannon a lot more and it met her cuteness test 🙂 Thanks for everyone's help

The Casio Xm750 (think thats the model or close to it) is VERY good! Canon D550 would be my other vote.
