small business printer recommendation

My wife's HP 4250 is dying and I need a recommendation for a replacement. She prints 200+ paychecks a week plus every day stuff. Any mono printers as reliable as the 4250 these days? Brand not important as long as it works well. TIA.

How much is the day to day stuff? Check the typical (not max) duty cycle rating for the printer before buying. About 1k pages/month would be ok for cheap consumer models.

Going to echo brother. Some models are kinda flimsy, but you get a lot of bang for buck, and generics are often cheap. I checked generic ink availability and saved a bundle (on both an ink jet, $10 a whole set of inks, and a laser, $15 toner). Driver issues can be frustrating, I've had a few. Just check the website for latest firmwares before getting frustrated

Take a look at capacity when choosing a model. Many cheaper business models have the same print capacity as the consumer models making them expensive to operate. I would suggest that you stick with HP and shop around for non hp toner cartridges. I get mine from amazon and can get all 4 for around $100 for high capacity toner.
