SM Bus Controller

So I just noticed an exclamation point in my device manager under SM Bus Controller.

I searched and found that there's a driver download from Intel for my P35 chipset... but I've been running my system for months without a problem. I'm wary of installing this driver, but can't imagine it doing anything at all for my system.

Anybody know what it will do or what this driver is for?

Basically sends the system information, fan speeds, freqs of operation etc.

i am running it on mine with no problem at all, looks like we have the same motherboard

you should always install the chipset drivers.
