I have found that osx web browsing is slower then I am used on windows. I found a solution , turn on dns caching and use Cisco public servers. everything is fast now it is turned off by default. there is a mac os hints article deailing how o do it. just google it.

Using what browser?
Wireless or Wired?
What version of OS X are you using?

This could be helpful information, why not just link the article?

Well, from what I have read, Firefox on Leopard is not all that can be desired. IIRC, they released a new version recently that adds leopard compatibility, but I am not sure if that fixed all the issues that they were apparently having. We can disregard the fact that I don't like Firefox on OS X which is well known around here.

hmmm, mIm not so sure that fixed it. ZI have noticed longer page load times in osx regardless of browser . nothing in my network has changed since i got leopard.

This is a good tip because browsing is ridiculously slow sometimes. I also don't really like firefox on osx as much as I did on windows although I don't really know why. I use it still though cause it works a great deal better than safari, but it isn't perfect

Just a little side not, I did this and ymmv. It slowed down my browser and I ended up undoing it. Strangely it works faster now...

firefox is not intel mac optimized, get the optimized build at beatnikpad.com, it is immensely faster. and no, I'm no affiliate

Personally I use Camino ? has adblock/pop-up blocking, built on the Mozilla codebase. Will try the speeding up browsing to see if it helps, though.
