Slow Windows bootup

I recently just formatted my computer. Before installing necessary drivers my computer would boot up and load everything on the taskbar every quickly, but after I installed my wireless netword card drivers and started trying to connect to the router. My computer boots up very slowly. I had a few problems in the past with other computers. I think it has something to do with the network card connecting to the router or something. Is there something I can do to fix this problem? It seems to be the luck of the draw. Sometimes I format and install the network drivers no problem and other times it causes Windows to load much much slower.

You could check to see what's starting up (msconfig, startup tab) when Windows does, if you think it's the network card.

Try disabling the wireless card and restarting. See if that makes a difference. That should tell you definitely whether that is what's slowing you down. Since it's a fresh install, you shouldn't have to much stuff running at startup, but you can always run good ole msconfig and see what's going on.
