Long time lurker, first time post.
I built my PC with lots of reading here at AT. Now I've hit a snag and I'm not sure what the problem is. Here's the setup:
NEO2 Plat (1.3?)
AMD64 3200+ s939
1 Gig OZC Plat Rev 2
x800 PRO
ATA Seagate HD
DVD+-RW
XP PRO SP2
NVIDIA 5.10 Unified drivers
AMD64 drivers
No OC yet. =)
Thanks in advance.
Here's the issue. In the Device Manager I see that everything has been installed properly, except for "Ethernet Controller" and "Multimedia Audio Controller." It looks like only one of the onboard NICs is working. When I try to update the drivers for the ones with "?", windows won't pick up anything from the directories from the mentioned drivers from NVIDIA. Also, it takes at least a minute for xp to recognize that there is a NIC in order for me to connect (DSL). I can't go into System Properties or any system related app. until it's done doing what it's doing. WTH? A 3200+ shouldn't be THIS slow.
I tried loading on a previous install with the drivers that came with the board and also updated MSI drivers (live update), and although it seemed all drivers were installed, the NICs took just as long to get intialized. The same problem.
What am I doing wrong? How can I get the "Other Devices" that have not been installed to be... installed? What about the really slow NIC recognition issue?
Sorry if this has been posted before, but I haven't come across it.
Thanks again.
