Slow networking on XP

Got a network of about 30 or so computers. Use Active Directory with Windows 2000. Works great, except for the two Windows XP machines on the network. The problem is that it takes a very long time to browse the network. On the Windows 2000 machines the network opens up immediately and clicking on a networked machine opens immediately. When click on a machine in the network using the XP machine, it takes several minutes to open up. We are using TCP/IP and nothing else. How to get the XP machines to work faster?

SAme sort of problem on Nt 4 domain with 30 Xp workstations and some 98's except mine is SLOOOOW printing. Browsing the network is fine. Disable simple file sharing maybe?
