Slow memory test at start-up

I started up my machine this morning, and sat at the BIOS screen for about 2 minutes while the PC did it's memory test. This is not normal! It will normally do this in the blink of an eye.I've not changed any settings or added anything for ages. Anyone know what could be causing this?

PC specs are: MSI K8N Neo Platinum NForce3
AMD Athlon64 3400 754pin
1.5gb DDR Ram (333)
ATI Radeon X800XL
2 x IDE HDD (one with o/s installed)
1 x SATA HDD
Windows XP Pro

Many thanks in advance - you guys know your onions!

I forgot to mention - when the test finishes it says everyting is fine, no problems.

Just a quick update - the problem is still evident, and the boot takes about 3 mins to get to the welcome screen. I've checked that 'fast boot' is enabled (then disabled it and re-enabled it to make sure) and had a look through all my BIOS settings but nothing has changed.

Once I'm in XP, everything is fine and dandy - programs open and run as fast as they ever did, it's just the damned slow boot that's getting on my nerves.

Any help really would be appreciated!
