I've got an idea. I think I'll steal the cab that's giving me a ride home from jail.
Matthew Findley, a 25-year-old recently released inmate was back in jail Saturday night after he allegedly stole a cab that was hailed to drive him home from jail.

According to Southington Police, Findley was released from Hartford Correctional Facility at around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators say Findley received a cab ride home, however when the cab stopped at a gas station to fill up, Findley apparently decided a taxi would be a nice low profile, hard to spot vehicle to steal. He reportedly made off with the taxi just five hours after his release from prison.

He was promptly returned to jail on charges of using a motor vehicle without permission, larceny and second-degree criminal trover. His bail was set at $10,000.

- What was he in for before?
- For how long?

Apparently it wasn't nearly long enough.

Is that anything like grand theft auto?
