So my main rig is being rebuilt this weekend and is sitting in parts right now. So I a fired up an old rig collecting dust. It is a Pentium 4 2.66 GHz machine with an NVidia GeForce 6200 video card.
Everything works fine video-wise - the desktop interactions are quick, I can play Call of Duty 2 in a decent quality mode with good frame rates.
However, I cannot stream YouTube or any Flash based videos at a decent rate. Also, those pop-over adds on some websites seem to be slow as well. Downloaded .FLV videos play just fine in VLC Media Player.
I've updated the video drivers, codecs and Flash to no avail.
Any thoughts?
