Evening all;
Im attending the University of Idaho and they have a dual T3 connection here. I get a average of 1600kps when I download off site such as www.cnet.com and www.mp3, among others. However, when I download divx files off a filesharing program, ie: directconnect, winmx, I only do 100kps on good majority of the times. However, I also get some downloads of 10kps? Can anyone help me out with this? I sometimes see some long divx movies, but I download slower then a 56k modem.

Could be weak or overloaded servers, poor programming, bad cable (on the server side), capped switches, any number of variables.

Since you get decent speeds at other sites, you know it's nothing associated with your system.

B!tch at the other guys to get their sh*t in one sock, or give up the service-site business.
