Slow Browsing Performance

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is an IP issue or what but I notice that when I browse any websites that loads anything from google, it just freezes there and will load forever and I can see on the status of the browser bar the following urls

ajax.googleapis.com
font.googleapis.com
gstatic

and many others related to google services.

I tried removing the router out of the equation but it still happens. The only solution that I found so far is to use a proxy and this stops from happening. Is this an issue with my IP or probably a malware?

I appreciate any help.

Alas, I think you are infected.

Pls run every scan you can. For openers.

What kind of protection apps do you run? AV, antimalware, and do you use a software firewall?

I have <spam?>. I did try running Hijack this as suggested by Google and CC cleaner but to no avail.

:thumbsup:Was just about to post the same, along with this:

Re HiJack This, early on, I did not know someone trained was supposed to read the logs, so I kinda learned to do it myself, unless you know what you are seeing re the entries, best to not use it to remove anything.

CCleaner just removes junk files and has a very conservative reg cleaner. It does not deal with infections.

I also suggest you get and run this freeware:

http://www.toolbar-remover.com-about.com/download.html

Make sure you don't download the video converter, but only the tool bar app.

Your ESET IS has good reviews. I have used their free online scanner to help clean up friends' systems, I think they make good software, tho never tested beyond what I shared.

Pls report back when you've run scans using the 3 new apps. This is frustrating, I know.

Have you tried clearing the the cache cookies and history under the settings in chrome that should fix your problem.

This is the most common solution to that problem. If the problem persist try starting your browser in safe mode.
For IE go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer(No Addons)
For Firefox Go to Start > Run and type Firefox –safe-mode
If the problem goes away you have an add-on not playing nice. Start disabling them till you find the offender.

I've always had slow responses from Google Ajax, etc. Could have been an add-on for Firefox. Hitman Pro scans the computer automatically and I run Comodo firewall with defense shield on and Bitdefender free. Every once in a while I'll scan the computer with Hijackthis and TDSSKiller.

This problem has nothing to do with your computer being infected by spyware, virus etc. ajax.googleapis.com is just a nuisance website which can be easily dispensed with without any harmful effect on your system. Quite the reverse, in fact.

Open up your 'Hosts' file in your system with Notepad (Do a Search if you don't know where it is). Then enter the following line 127.0.0.1 ajax.googleapis.com. Now Save the Hosts file. Problem sorted. Any other Google websites causing similar loading problems then just add them to your Hosts file as well Keep Adblocker on if you have it
