Slow boot with card reader?

When I leave my internal card reader plugged into my p4p800 my pc boots like molasses. I would like to be able to leave my reader plugged in on account of its INTERNAL and a major pain in the ass to unplug. I have disable the bios setting that allows boot from sec. drive. Can some one turn this herd of snail boot-up back into a pack of cheetahs.

Thanks

Make sure you have the latest bios for your motherboard. Other than that, there ins't much you can do if it is slowing down your boot up. Make sure you have the latest drivers for the card reader, if it uses drivers.
