Slow boot up time

I'm looking for any solutions in making XP Pro boot up faster. I've tried using a program called BootVis which I found not all that helpful. I've tried various tweaks within the Control Panel settings. I've had some limited success by going into "Msconfig" and unchecking various programs from loading in the "Startup" section. (There's only so much a person wants to uncheck here).
Any help or suggestions from others who've been down this same road who be appreciated. Thanks.

You can only load so fast. If you've done all that then there probably isn't much else you can do.

What kind of processor do you have, brand/model hard drive, How much RAM, how many programs do you have installed. You're registry may be big due to that. Just relax. I'm sure a few seconds won't kill ya.

the only good thing I noticed when i tested winxp is the fact the they boot very quickly.
the rest are the same as the win2k.

there must be a problem with your hardware ....... maybe a old cpu...

btw I tested with amd 1.53 Ghz is boots fast as hell.....when my monitor is powered on, the os is half way loaded.... strange ...

kee it real ...
winxp is crap...respect da win2k.
