Slow boot in WinXP, Bootvis error

I have a new AMD Athlon XP 1700 machine with an Abit KG7-RAID, with 3 hard drives, a CD, CD-R, and IDE Zip. It takes about 2 minutes to boot, from hitting the power button to being able to open a program. I tried running BootVis, but it gives me the following error after I run a trace and it restarts: "Number of physical drives in the trace file is 0. Trace file has invalid system configuration information." Does anyone know how to get Bootvis working?

Also, does anyone have any tips for a faster boot? I hear XP is supposed to boot in under 30 seconds. The best I can do, after disabling all unnecessary services, is 2 minutes.

Thanks!

send me you're bootvis dump (if you have one) 2min is was too long. for me, from power button to fully loaded for me = 16.03 seconds (1600XP)

Edit.. a little tweaking later i am now 16.03 second boot 🙂

^ anyone have a solution for the aforementioned boorvis error: "Number of physical drives in the trace file is 0" ?

Im stumped on this one 😕 Incidentally, task scheduler isnt the problem -- it's activated.

thanks!
