Slow boot - how show driver/service load info during Windows 8.1 boot?

I just built a new 4930k machine and at some point I started getting very slow boot times during the Windows logo with the dots going around in a circle. It used to hang out there for a few seconds, now it's more like a minute.

I can't figure out how to show what's causing the slow boot. I tried adding "OS boot information" in msconfig.exe but it doesn't do anything - I still get the logo with the dots. On older versions of Windows, that would show what's going on but I can't get it to work with 8.1.

Has anyone else run in to this problem and found a fix?

Thanks,

in the bottom left corner. In Windows 8.1, by right clicking on the Start button, you can use the Search charm to search for “msconfig” and it will find the command.
