slota t-bird multiplier question

fastvideo

Senior member
anybody has tried o/c slota t-bird successfully using more than 10X multiplier settings?
i have spent one day tried all the possible settings with slota t-bird 900 on a asus k7m m/b. the highest i reach is 10X only.

some say that because of the m/b limitation.
if that is true, why on my old BX m/b which only have 8X multiplier is working with a C566 and that has a 8.5X.

we all know the classic slota is multiplier locked. why the m/b maker would put a limitation on recognizing what multiplier is on the cpu.

if my point is right, i think the limitation in on the card, may be somekind of resistor or jumper to diable the cpu to go more than a 10X multiplier.
anybody or links to see a slota t-bird 1.1G or higher pictures?
